JOB PURPOSE:

The Technical Facilities Engineer is a critical role for maintaining Midco’s facilities. This position is responsible for planning, building, coordinating, and maintaining the technical facilities portfolio and helps keep Midco as a leading internet service provider in the Midwest.

KEY FUNCTIONS:

• Ensure that structures are physically sound and capable of supporting the electronic equipment housed within it. Facility must meet all local, state and federal codes.
• Confirm that facilities have sufficient cooling and heating to keep the temperature at an acceptable and constant range at all times and in all areas of the facility and within racks.
• Ensure that buildings have sufficient available power including Generator and UPS loads. The electrical system needs to be stable and conditioned with proper grounding and surge suppression.
• Confirm that the correct power is available to support new equipment as it is installed.
• Ensure buildings have the proper security in place to prevent unauthorized access and is well lit.
• Budget, design, and manage projects related to technical facilities.
• Ensure facilities have sufficient means for suppression of fires.
• Manage the installation of racks and raceway.
• Develop, expand and improve the existing procedures and practices to continually incorporate the latest findings, highest standards and best practices in the telecommunications industry.
• Work closely with the NOC to ensure critical parameters are being monitored by the NOC.
• Provide training to those that manage the day-to-day operation of the sites and those that work at the sites on all relevant systems.
• Perform technical facility site audits.
• Manage vendor relationships relating to facilities management. This includes, but is not limited to electrical, UPS, HVAC, generators, plumbing, snow removal, lawn care, garbage service, security service, and parking lot maintenance.
• Communicate clearly and regularly with the Technical Facilities Manager regarding any potential or outstanding problems or issues.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent technical degree or experience required.
• Minimum of five years’ experience in technical facilities or commercial building construction field required.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, UPS, and generators required.
• Applicable knowledge of NEC, OSHA, NFPA and other safety codes required.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

• Bachelor’s Degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Information Technology or a closely related degree in a closely related filed OR Associate’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Information Technology or a closely related degree in a closely related field with 1 years for programming or front end development experience.
• 1 year programming experience in .NET, C# and/or ASP.NET is preferred.
• 1 year front-end development experience in HTML5/CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, Bootstrap and/or Angular framework is preferred.
• 1+ years of D365 F&O development experience is preferred.
• General knowledge of Webservices such as RESTAPI, JSON or SOAP.
• General knowledge of databases, preferably SQL or T-SQL.
• General knowledge of agile development and scrum processes.

Software Developer II:

JOB PURPOSE:

The Sourcing Coordinator will be the liaison for cross functional teams in the execution of the different phases of the product (part) life cycle to support Midco’s strategic initiatives. You will help the organization achieve its goals through finding sourcing solutions for products at the ideal cost and quality. • Coordinate vendor, RFQ and RFI process, in support of the procurement strategy and business goals.

• Pull data to support the evaluation process of vendor performance.
• Partner with leadership to preform benchmark analysis to identify potential cost gaps and risk across commodities.
• Align strategy and tactical plans on product transitions with Operations, Finance, and Safety.
• Assist with the communication to stakeholders on introduction, modification, or discontinuation of products including transition of part numbers, the use of inventory and ordering expectations.
• Assist leadership with oversite of project tasks to support completion of initiatives through clear communication of expectations and escalating issues to leadership when they arise.

JOB PURPOSE:

Field Technicians perform basic service installations, disconnects and changes for residential and business customers.

KEY FUNCTIONS:

• Perform installation work including but not limited to voice, video and data installs, and service changes and disconnects in customer homes and places of business.
• Complete Midco First Time Right Broadband I certification within 90 days of hire. Consistently apply First Time Right principles in all aspects of work.
• Troubleshoot and repair services from tap to Customer Premise Equipment (CPE), and signal leakage repairs.
• Maintain records, including daily logs and gas sheets.
• Record all required information on work orders, surveys, and referrals.
• Promote cable, internet, and other Company services and educate customers on the proper use of Midco’s services, including how to add additional services, access help online, channel lineups, and proper equipment usage.
• Ensure proper signal levels and picture quality on all television sets; clear the premises of all debris and materials after the installation is complete.
• Appropriately manage difficult or emotional customer situations and respond promptly to customer needs.
• Respond to requests for service and assistance in a timely manner.
• Perform on-call duties as required.
• Possess knowledge of Midco’s safety program (Target Zero), practice and enforce safety rules and procedures; operate all equipment in a safe manner.
• Operate and drive a Company vehicle in accordance with all Midco policies including maintaining a safe driving record.
• Communicate effectively and professionally in all forms of communication with internal and external customers.
• Adhere to Midco’s privacy guidelines to ensure each customer’s privacy.
• Maintain regular attendance as required by your position.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

• HS Diploma/G.E.D. required.
• Maintain a current and valid driver’s license and good to excellent driving record. A DUI within the last 5 years disqualifies you from employment in this position.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or carry loads of up to 84 lbs.
• The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
• While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions and may occasionally be exposed to moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places, risk of electrical shock, and risk of radiation and vibration.
• In-person visits to a customer’s home or place of business are normal in the performance of this job. Specific abilities required include accessing a customer's home or place of business by stairs or elevator, operating doors or other entrances, navigating hallways and buildings, etc., and adapting successfully to a constantly changing environment.
• Employees may be required to work in excess of 40 hours per week and other than normal business hours, as business demands.
• Must be able to climb poles, ladders, and other structures with proper equipment.
• Must be able to work from elevated heights and in tight spaces such as attics and crawlspaces.
